This soup is ridiculously good! You’ll cook it repeatedly because it’s made with fresh ingredients and is topped with shredded cheese. Each veggie is covered in the delicious cheesiness and is really delicious. This recipe for cheeseburger soup will win you over!

Vegetables in large, cheesy pieces with a delectable, buttery soup base. It’s sheer bliss and joy to have everything in one bowl! Simple to prepare, and considering how much soup there is, there may even be some leftover!

How to Make The Best Cheeseburger Soup:

It is a superb soup that has won awards. Making this cheeseburger soup is simple and quick. The beautiful creamy soup with bits of veggies and delicate beef is the result of a few easy procedures and basic materials.

Vegetables to be sautéed: Add 1 T. butter to the same pot along with the celery, onion, and shredded carrots. Cook until the meat is soft.
Bring the broth, potatoes, and meat to a boil before adding the beef and simmering.

Create a roux by melting the remaining butter (3 T) in a small skillet and stirring in the flour. Cook and stir until bubbling, about 3 minutes. Bring to a boil before adding to the soup. For two minutes, cook and stir.

Tips for The Best Soup:

round beef: Ground beef should be as lean as possible. Before pouring the grease back into the soup, make sure to drain any excess.
Russet potatoes are substantial and thick. In soups, they typically don’t go mushy. Red and yellow potatoes will also work, but be careful not to overcook them.

For this soup, Velveeta cheese is a favourite. It will be left creamy and thick. Try shredded cheeses instead of Velveeta if you don’t like it. The soup base will be thinner, and the texture and thickness will change.

Cream cheese is an excellent option to replace the sour cream as a thickener. It will continue to be thick and creamy while maintaining its richness.

Add Your Toppings!

The fun part of this cheeseburger soup recipe is adding the toppings! This dish already contains so many fantastic components that they all work well together. You can count on getting a cheesy spoonful, a vegetable, and a topping with every bite.

Bacon chunks: I use the microwaveable bacon and cut it into pieces for a quick way to make bacon. Bacon leftovers are also delicious.

A dab of sour cream on top only enhances the flavour of the onions and chives.

Chopped onion was sprinkled on top for a crunchier texture.

Pickles: my favourite flavour is dill. It’s entertaining to have pickle bits on top of this. It gives the soup a sweeter flavour.
